Class Information

Kano Kidz 
For 4-7 year olds
£25 per month

Kano Kidz is an exciting and fun judo based multi skills club which aims to improve balance, agility, spacial awareness, hand-eye & foot-eye co-ordination as well as develop a participants basic gymnastic ability.   The club also promotes good work ethic, respect and self confidence.  Kano Kidz therefore provides your child with a great platform to achieve in judo and any other sport they may participate in during later life. Our grading system provides members with the opportunity to track their progress in the class and our Kano Kidz member of the week award continues to promote good behaviour & work ethic.

Junior Judo
For 7-12 year olds
£30 per month

Junior Judo is aimed for younger lower graded players. The class provides participants with the opportunity to learn various throws and pins and then once mastered allows them to use these skills in a safe sparring environment. (Strangles and Arm Locks are not suitable for this age group) Once Junior Judoka become British Judo Association Members, they are given the chance to compete in local events. Our grading system provides members with the opportunity to track their progress in the class as they move through the belts.

Academy Judo
For 12 -17 year olds
£35 per month

Academy Judo aims to help every judoka to fulfil their potential on the mat. The class provides participants with the opportunity to learn more technical throws and groundwork techniques and then once mastered allows them to use these skills in a safe sparring environment. The class also aims to provide a more personal approach to acquiring and developing judo skills. It also introduces more tactical elements. Academy judoka also begin to learn arm lock and strangulation techniques that are not appropriate for players of a younger age. There are plenty of opportunities to spar, grade and compete in regional, national & international events as well as an added emphasis on fitness



Adult Judo
For 18+ year olds
£40 per month (£5 reduction for full time students)

Our adult judo membership offers a welcoming and progressive introduction to the sport of judo for both male & female adults. Whether your interest derives from learning new skills, improving your fitness or an interest in martial arts, our friendly and caring approach lets you train at your own pace and enables you to develop your skills to move through the grades and / or spar and compete if this takes your interest. We also enjoy developing the social aspect of this group, occasionally enjoying a few drinks after the practice.

England Talent Development Centre Training
